unification updates!

the latest news on our parish unification

In 2021 the parishes of Saint Teresa of Calcutta and Saint James were unified into a single Catholic community under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Hartford. We know that change can feel scary, alienating, and--hopefully--exciting! So we want everyone in the Manchester Catholic Community to know exactly what's going on, when it happens, and how we're working hard to create the solid foundations of a singular parish that will follow our mission and vision for decades to come!

Check back here for news and updates about the future of our unified parish!

mass schedule feedback

We will be hosting town hall meetings to welcome parishioner feedback on our new Mass Schedule. We will have two live, in-person meetings in the second week of November, and two online meetings via Zoom the following week.

  • St. Bartholomew Church
    6 PM, Tuesday, Nov. 9
  • St. James Church, Basement Hall
    6 PM, Wednesday, Nov. 10

  • 7 PM, Wednesday, Nov. 17
  • 7 PM, Thursday, Nov. 18.

Those who wish to make additional comments, or who wish to provide feedback but do not wish to speak at one of our town halls, are encouraged to email our Leader of Communications at communications@manchestercatholic.org.

Beginning October 1, our new Mass schedule was implemented in the Manchester Catholic Community! This schedule has been carefully designed over several months to meet the needs of our community, and allow our priests the opportunity to more fully connect with parishioners.

And there is now time for daily Confessions during the week!
Download the flyer here, or view it below.

As you can tell, our new unified website is now live! All the information you will need as a member of the Manchester Catholic Community is right here, whether you've been a member of Saint Teresa or Saint James or you're brand new to our Catholic Community!

If you think anything is missing, or you'd like to see something else on the website feel free to e-mail our Leader of Communications.

Looking for those old familiar faces? Want to reach out to someone, and not sure who to talk to? Meet Our Team! Our new unified phone system and e-mail addresses can help put you in touch, no matter who you're looking for.

For the moment, we have retained old e-mail addresses and website domains as well to make this transition as easy as possible for our parishioners.
