• Altar Servers

Altar Servers participate throughout the Mass in assisting the priest and deacon. Young men and woman, age 9 and older are encouraged to serve our parish in this very important ministry.  Being involved in the Mass in this way is a great opportunity for them to experience the Liturgy in a more meaningful way.

  • Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

"Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion" is the formal title of lay people who distribute the Eucharist during Mass and to the home-bound.  Parishioners, 18 or older, who are interested in joining this ministry, should contact the pastor or vicar.

  • Funeral Altar Servers

When we have a funeral, we need servers to assist at Mass. We have a list of dedicated Funeral Altar Servers, but we need to add more names to the list.  If you are available on week days and some weekends, usually from 10:30 am to Noon, please consider this ministry.  We will provide the training.  Both woman and men are invited to this ministry.

You would be called on a rotating basis when we have a funeral.

  • Lectors

New Lectors receive a brief orientation on how and where materials are stored.  A group of Lectors are on rotation to provide continual coverage at each weekend Mass.  Requirements include Preparation, Diction, Proper Attire and Commitment.

The U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops describes the role of Lector on their website.

  • Sacristans

The sacristan carefully arranges the liturgical books, the vestments, and other things necessary in the celebration of the Mass
